RevolutionQ: Fda has requested to recall proheart6 injectable heartworm product on sept. 3,2004. my dog just received his shot 2 days ago. i want to change his heartworm meds. i also have been using advantagek9 for fleas. would this be a could idea to switch to revolution and when. A: You are correct that fda has issued a recall to veterinarians for existing stocks of proheart. however, the fact that your dog received his shot 2 days ago, you should not do anything for 6 months. at that time, you can use an alternate heartworm medication.
